Dates: Thursdays, October 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th

Join Alice for a four-part class in knitting a set of fingerless mitts or a scarf. Beginning with casting on, over the course of four weeks you’ll learn basic knit and purl stitches, and how to utilize those stitches to create something warm and cozy. We'll also cover fixing mistakes--don't panic!
Skills Requirement: Just a desire to learn to knit!
- Long tail cast on
- Garter stitch
- Troubleshooting - dropped stitches, twisted, split stitches
- Binding off
- Weaving in ends
- Sewing pieces (mitts)
We Will Provide: This class includes all materials.
- One 100-gram skein hand-dyed aran-weight yarn in a choice of colors
- Size 9 straight needles
- Yarn needle
- Stitch Markers
- Swatch/Needle Gauge
- Guidance including tips and techniques to make the project a success. Before you know it, you’ll have a scarf or mitts ready to go.
Registration and Cancellation**: Please register in advance. Classes with less than 50% enrollment may be cancelled at the discretion of the instructor within 72 hours of the first class. In this case, a full refund will be given. Full refunds granted up to 2 weeks before first scheduled class. After that, and up to 72 hrs before a scheduled class, cancellations will result in credit toward another class on a stand-by basis. Cancellations within 72hrs or less of a scheduled class are non-refundable/non-transferrable unless the class sells out.
