Join Emily for a three-part class in knitting a set of fingerless mitts or a scarf. Beginning with casting on, over the course of three weeks, you’ll learn basic knit and purl stitches, how to utilize those stitches to create something warm and cozy.
Skills Requirement: Just a desire to learn to knit!
- Long tail cast on
- Garter stitch
- Troubleshooting - dropped stitches, twisted stitches
- Binding off
- Weaving in ends
- Sewing pieces (mitts)
We Will Provide: This class includes all materials.
- One 100-gram skein hand-dyed aran-weight yarn in a choice of color
- Size 9 straight needles
- Yarn needle
- Stitch Markers
- Swatch/Needle Gauge
- Guidance including tips and techniques to make the project a success. Before you know it, you’ll have a scarf or mitts ready to go.
Registration and Cancellation**: Please register in advance. Classes with less than 50% enrollment may be cancelled at the discretion of the instructor within 72 hours of the first class. In this case, a full refund will be given. Full refunds granted up to 2 weeks before first scheduled class. After that, and up to 72 hrs before a scheduled class, cancellations will result in credit toward another class on a stand-by basis. Cancellations within 72hrs or less of a scheduled class are non-refundable/non-transferrable unless the class sells out.
