A summery blue and white cotton check with small Jamdani spots. Jamdani is a highly skilled weaving technique that has been practiced in India for centuries that produces fine muslin cotton with small geometric motifs. This cloth comes alive once washed, getting much softer and with a beautiful slub and texture.

Our Indian handlooms are delicate and lightweight and perfect for summer sewing. They can be used for scarves, tops or dresses with some fullness as well as patchwork or home projects like semi sheer curtains.

Please note: Indian handlooms are sometimes susceptible to irregularities in the weave, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws. For the first couple of washes, wash warm with a handful of table salt to fix the dye and prevent it from running.

All fabric is sold in units of a half yard each. Orders of two or more units (more than one half-yard) will be cut as continuous yardage. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

    Cut fabric is not returnable.

Please note that color and texture representations will vary from screen to screen.  Evanston Stitchworks does its best to present each fabric and description as accurately as possible.
