October is Breast Cancer Awareness month! We are partnering with neighbor and friend of the shop, Arla Unwin, to host a kick-off event and October-wide drive for Knitted Knockers. For those who are not familiar, Knitted Knockers Support Foundation is an all-volunteer run non-profit organization founded in 2011 by a knitter and breast cancer survivor. Since then, Knitted Knockers has established over 7000 groups in all 50 states and in 25 countries. As a result of their efforts, survivors world wide are able to access prosthetics free of charge with the help of individual knitters/crocheters, and through events such as this. 

We would love for you to join us on Sunday, October 12 for our kick-off Knitted Knocker event taking place in our studio from noon - 4pm. We will provide copies and links to the patterns, guidance on how to make both knitted and crocheted versions, and have approved yarn available for purchase to use for your knockers. 

We will be taking cash and Knocker donations through November 2, so don't worry if you don't finish your knockers on the day of the event--there's still plenty of time to drop them off at a later time. You *might* even be able to make a second pair!

Consider making an optional donation. 100% of donations will be given directly to The Knitted Knockers Support Foundation.
