The "Byzantine Motifs" needle minder is inspired by the tiny decorations and ornamentations found in Byzantine manuscripts and decorative art. The Pumpkin Seed motif is found throughout many types of art throughout history and so it's no surprise that it freuently turns up in Byzantine decorative art. This version features a small starburst in each petal and the simple yet strong design is thrown into high relief with a deep blue background.
