This is NOT a beginner sewing class. If you are a beginner sewist, please register for a Learn to Sew Class. 

Skill Required

Please be an advanced beginner to intermediate sewist, comfortable sewing seams, winding a bobbin and with general sewing machine function.

Description

Start your quilting journey here, with expert quilter Sarah Evans. Over the course of 4 weeks, Sarah will show you step by step the finer points of fabric selection, preparation, cutting, patchwork piecing, line quilting, and finally binding. The finished piece will measure approximately 14" square and can be used as a light trivet or table top decoration. After completion of this class, you'll be ready to take more quilting classes as well as work on your own projects independently.

Required Supplies

At least 3 fat quarters of quilting weight fabric

1/2 yard quilt batting

MISC DETAILS

Please arrive early for each class. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to any class, the instructor may not be able to catch you up. 

Please adhere to the following guidelines*:

• Please stay home if you are sick in any way. We’ll try to get you caught up by the next class.

Registration and Cancellation**: Please register in advance. Classes with less than 50% enrollment may be cancelled at the discretion of the instructor within 72 hours of the first class. In this case, a full refund will be given. Full refunds granted up to 2 weeks before first scheduled class. After that, and up to 72 hrs before a scheduled class, cancellations will result in credit toward another class. Cancellations within 72hrs or less of a scheduled class are non-refundable/non-transferrable.

*Makeups are not available for classes. If you miss a class, we'll try to get you caught up in class.
