Calling all garment sewists! Spring is upon us and your spring wardrobe needs to be ready! Join Costume and garment sewing expert Alix for a small group class that let's you work own your own garment pattern at your own pace.
This is a beyond beginner class. Please have a working knowledge of ho to use a sewing machine and have sewn a few projects before registering for this class. Unsure of your skill level? Take our Learn to Sew Class or reach out to info@evanstonstitchworks.com with questions.
Your garment will come together quickly as you'll have access to our sewing machines, sergers, tool boxes, irons and extra large cutting table.
Not sure what to make? We're happy to help choose a pattern and fabric.
Skill Requirements: Threading a machine and winding a bobbin, how to sew a straight line, rotary cutter safety, basic pattern reading.
Required Supplies: Your own pattern and fabric plus -- we'll supply the know-how and give you lots of tips and tricks as you work through your garment.
Don't worry about finishing in 3 weeks. We have sessions planned for May and beyond so you can continue sewng all spring and into the summer.
- Please stay home if you are sick in any way. We’ll try to get you caught up by the next class.
Fabric and yarn purchased for this class will receive a 15% discount when purchased through the shop. Come into the store to discuss choices!
Registration and Cancellation**: Please register in advance. Classes with less than 50% enrollment may be cancelled at the discretion of the instructor within 72 hours of the first class. In this case, a full refund will be given. Full refunds granted up to 2 weeks before first scheduled class. After that, and up to 72 hrs before a scheduled class, cancellations will result in credit toward another class. Cancellations within 72hrs or less of a scheduled class are non-refundable/non-transferrable.
*Makeups are not available for classes. If you miss a class, we'll try to get you caught up in class.
