Calling all garment sewists, knitters and crocheters! Spring is upon us and your spring wardrobe needs to be ready! Join costume and garment sewing, as well as knitting and crochet expert Alix for a small group class that lets you work own your own project at your own pace.
This is a beyond beginner class.
For sewists: Please have a working knowledge of how to use a sewing machine and have sewn a few projects before registering for this class. Unsure of your skill level? Take our Learn to Sew Class or reach out to info@evanstonstitchworks.com with questions.
Your garment will come together quickly as you'll have access to our sewing machines, sergers, tool boxes, irons and extra large cutting table.
For Knitters and crocheters: Please have basic knowledge of knitting and crochet stitches. We'll help with the rest.
Not sure what to make? We're happy to help choose a pattern and supplies.
Skill Requirements For Sewists: Threading a machine and winding a bobbin, how to sew a straight line, rotary cutter safety, basic pattern reading.
Required Supplies for Sewists: Your own pattern and fabric plus -- we'll supply the know-how and give you lots of tips and tricks as you work through your garment.
Required Supplies/Skills for Knitters and Crocheters: Basic casting on or chain stitch, knit and purl stitches for knitters. Your own yarn, pattern and needles/hook.
Don't worry about finishing in one month. We have sessions planned for June and beyond so you can continue working on your projects all spring and into the summer.

Registration and Cancellation**: Please register in advance. Classes with less than 50% enrollment may be cancelled at the discretion of the instructor within 72 hours of the first class. In this case, a full refund will be given. Full refunds granted up to 2 weeks before first scheduled class. After that, and up to 72 hrs before a scheduled class, cancellations will result in credit toward another class. Cancellations within 72hrs or less of a scheduled class are non-refundable/non-transferrable.
*Makeups are not available for classes. If you miss a class, we'll try to get you caught up in class.
